Pauline Cordier writes space. Her stories take us back to the time when we were wanderers. The time when humans inhabited the world through walking, building menhirs as architectures of emptiness, like memorial stones.
Her megaliths act as a bridge to the outside world, between art and life, between different temporalities. Cordier creates a "hearth-work" that connects with the millennia-old territories we all inhabit. Through our sensory memory, she tethers us to life, forcefully or gently distilling subtle messages. Pauline Cordier invites us to penetrate and roam territories, to sit around the fire and listen to the silence.

Pauline Cordier was born in Lyon (France) in 1992. After graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the HEAD in Geneva, she went on to continue her studies in the school’s Work.Master MA program in Visual Arts, which she completed in 2017.
She has also had solo exhibitions at Galerie A. ROMY, Zürich (CH) in 2020, at Salle Crosnier – Palais de l'Athénée, Geneva (CH) in 2019, and has participated in several group shows, notably at the Espace d'Art Contemporain (Les Halles), Porrentruy (CH) in 2021, at the Centre d'Art Contemporain Circuit, Lausanne (CH) in 2021, at the REA Art Fair, Milan (IT) in 2021, at the 64th Salon de Montrouge, Paris (FR) in 2019, at Jungkunst, Winterthur (CH) in 2019, at Incheon Art Platform, South Korea (KR) in 2018, and in many other spaces.
