Halle Nord is a contemporary art space located in Les Halles de l’île in the heart of Geneva. Its central location is ideal for displaying and promoting the work of promising and confirmed artists.

Halle Nord shines a light on local contemporary creation. It favours singular artistic approaches and supports a plurality of creative forms. 

Halle Nord is a unique showcase consisting of a large exhibition room and two annex glass-capsule displays. The transparent architecture of all three spaces assures that the works remain visible and accessible day and night.

Halle Nord is an active gateway connecting creators, institutions and professional networks, and is committed to supporting, promoting and presenting art in Geneva and abroad. 

Halle Nord is a dynamic liaison between artists and the general public, organizing several important events in the city’s cultural scene, including the Ateliers Portes Ouvertes des artistes de Genève where artists open their studios to the public, the Halle Nord Competition, and Art au Centre Genève.

Halle Nord is an essential venue that has become an established player in the city’s cultural landscape over the years. It won the 2017 FCAC-Fonds cantonal d'art contemporain contemporary art programming award in 2017.
