Paul Paillet (1986), is an artist whose practice mixes sculpture, installation, text and sound. His research revolves around the notions of autofiction, uprising, and belief. In his practice, he seeks to highlight the link between the intimate and the collective specific to love songs and pop culture. Through his personal connection to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, and an overall introspective approach, Paillet’s work draws its resources from the essentializing concepts of adolescence and crisis.

Paul Paillet (Dijon, 1986) is a French artist who has lived and worked in Geneva since 2014. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Liège, Belgium, and then an MFA at the Beaux-Arts de Dijon. After working in a shared studio for four years in Dijon, Paul came to perfect his ceramic process at CERCCO in 2014. Since then, he has pursued his creative research and presented his work in various exhibitions throughout Switzerland and France, both in independent spaces (Lokal-Int, One Gee in Fog, Thundercage (FR)) and in institutions (Centre d'Édition Contemporaine de Genève, EAC in Porrentruy, Salle Crosnier – 2022). Through sculpture, painting, drawing and sound, his most recent research looks to deconstruct the individual and collective myth of adolescence as a rite of passage by bringing it face to face with economic and political strategies.
